Why You Should Continue Marketing In December

market your business in decemberIn this article we want to discuss the secret to a successful marketing plan, and why you should continue to market through the month of December.  Consumers continue to be active as well as look ahead!  If you own a product/service based business, the month of December can be HUGE!  We are prepared to give away a few little known tricks to implement this month to create interest, generate sales and grow your online channels that will continue in to the New Year!

Why It’s Important To Market In December

The stigma that consumers are not dialed in to buying products or subscribing to services is absolutely FALSE!  In fact, the month of December is one of the biggest consumer buying months of the year.  With the season of Black Friday frenzies, Cyber Monday deals, and Christmas sales, there are some marketing strategies you can implement this month to hit your end of the year goals.  Small businesses that ‘take a break’ at the end of the year have a harder time picking back up at the beginning of the New Year.

Holiday Marketing Strategies

Give Back.  A great strategy and overall good for the community is to give back or donate a percentage of sales to a local charity or cause.  Consumers love to support a company that shows they have a heart.

Extended Holiday Sales. Everyone loves a good deal right?!  Offer a holiday special to your email list and social media channels.  Use fun promo codes to drive traffic and sales to your website.

Holiday Giveaways. Not only do consumers like deals, but for FREE?  Yes please!  If you are a product based business, put together a holiday giveaway bundle that includes your most popular products.  Tell your audience to enter by: 1. Liking your Facebook page. 2. Tag their friends who would love the giveaway. 3. Share the post with their audience. Use a service like Rafflecopter to randomly draw the winner.

Stay active on Social Media. One of the biggest mistakes companies can make is to ‘take a break’ over the holidays. Continue to promote your business even when you think customers/clients may be checked out.  This creates momentum and keep your business fresh in the minds of your consumers moving into the New Year!
