4 Components Of A GREAT Facebook Post

By now I know you are marketing your business on Facebook, but may have come to a point where you feel like you need a little bit more guidance on what to say or HOW to say it. In this article, our mission is to provide you with 4 must have components needed for stellar Facebook marketing. Knowing theses components will help maximize your posting efforts on Facebook for the biggest return.

4 Components of a GREAT Facebook post

  1. Ask a question. Starting your post with a question not only narrows down your audience, but also helps to cover a particular topic. When creating a Facebook post, pick ONE topic and design the post around that subject. Having too many aspects of a post can be confusing to your audience or flat out overwhelming!
  2. The meat and potatoes. We like to call it the ‘body’ of the post or the meat and potatoes. This is what the post is about. Specials, discounts, services etc that you are sharing with your audience goes here. This can also be described as the answer to the question that you just asked in the beginning of the post. Keep this text short, sweet and directly to the point.
  3. High Quality Images. High quality images will make your audience stop scrolling through their newsfeed. Choose an image that will make them stop and stare!  Be aware that too much text overlay can make the image look too busy!
  4. Call to action. Each post needs to have a call to action. What do you want your audience to do? Calls to action can include phrases like “Click here” “Comment below” “Subscribe Now” “Call us to…” “Like us for…” “Download here”

*Ninja Tip: Put your url into an ow.ly or bitly url shortener to track clicks. 🙂

Facebook Post Examples

This first example is a post for a massage special for one of our clients. To take the marketing aspect of it to the next level, we chose a high quality image of the beach (I mean, who doesn’t love a good beach picture) and paired it with their massage package they were offering.

The second example is our very own Luxe Media post on Instagram. The 4 components are in full effect in this post. The question, body, high quality image and the call to action. FB post blog
